You’ll find wine tastings for miles in Wine Country, but what makes a winery unique to me is the experiences they offer. On top of that, I’m always looking for any excuse to ride my bike.
Starting at Clif Family Winery, you can coast off on one of several bike rides ranging from beginner (think biking around to other winery tastings) to advanced (think gut busting elevation gains) Start your morning with a Clif bar and an espresso from their tasting route, grab your map and gear and get going.
As avid riders, we chose an intermediate out and back ride, Conn Valley to Lake Hennessy that took us to a local lake with incredible vineyard views along the way. The elevation gain was lower than the more difficult rides but still enough hill climbing to work up an appetite for the food (from their Bruschetteria Food Truck) and wine that followed in their tasting room.
This is a top experience for me now, and I can’t wait to go back and try more trails. It’s hard to get my boyfriend out to tastings with me but he’s equally as stoked to return for this one. He just found his new favorite place too. 🤗
